This time, while coming back from Taipei, I had 9 hours of waiting time at Bangkok Suvarnabhoomi airport. Instead of wasting time at the transit hotel, I decided to visit some of the places in Bangkok. Getting a on arrival visa for Thailand was simple and it just took some 5 minutes to get a visa, clear immigration and customs.
The tour opeartor at the airport suggested the temple tour which could be covered with the available time. I was joined by another Bangalorean.
The victory monument at the center of the town.
The Wat Benchamabophit temple or Marble temple.
It has 40 Buddha statues in different styles.
